A few days ago I listened to Ayah Edy’s talk on Smart FM. He, an expert in education, proposed new paradigm of education. In his opinion, today’s education can not provide students with competence to deal with hyper competitive era.

Saat membaca buku ketiga dari tetralogi Laskar Pelangi karya Andrea Hirata ini semakin jelaslah bahwa tokoh utama di buku ini adalah penulisnya sendiri — hal yang masih samar pada buku sebelumnya. Untuk meyakinkan betapa nyatanya kisah dalam novel ini, pada satu bab diperlihatkan hasil scan wesel yang pernah diotorisasi oleh Andrea saat dia menjadi pegawai kantor pos di Bogor. Entahlah jika wesel tersebut cuma rekayasa.

On the way home I listened to Jamil Azzaini from Kubik Leadership on Trijaya FM. He said that everybody of us had to create a wishing star in order to experience successfull life. Without a wishing star or a vision, our activity would go without direction. This situation could be resembled with a passenger who rode the taxi without telling the driver the destination he wanted to go.
I don’t know what happened with Indonesian Team in SEA Games. Untill today (11/12/2007) Indonesia is still number six under Vietnam (newly independent country), Singapore (the least populous country) and Philiphine (unstable country). When I was a kid, Indonesia was always number one in Sea Games. I am not sure when Indonesian rank went down. May be after reform movement? Please don’t blame the reform movement.
On Saturday my wife watched “Gula-gula” (Candy) hosted by Bara P presenting recipe “Black Pepper Beef”. My wife told me that it was so easy to cook it. All ingredients were available everywhere. Finding this fact, I was interested in experiencing this new recipe.
